NAC Breda, and the eighteen Eredivisie clubs in the Netherlands, underwent a complete pitch renovation in the summer of 2025. The pitch was lowered by 1.5 meters, increasing the stadium's capacity. A complete Permavoid water and air management system was installed beneath the pitch. The Permavoid system allows rainwater to be stored beneath the pitch and naturally returned to the pitch from below through capillary cones when needed. Besides managing water, the application of positive and negative pressure via the same system, along with an air management system, enhances both drainage and oxygen supply.

To collect rainwater, a fully waterproof basin was created using a three-layer reinforced waterproof membrane consisting of six prefabricated panels. These panels were welded in place, as were the corner seals, sprinkler, and goalpost openings. In addition to the membrane layer, there are also several layers of geotextile that are tagged to connect in this way.

SV RAP, one of the oldest amateur clubs in the Netherlands, was the first team to ever become Dutch champions of the highest division. This club previously hosted several professional and national teams, each scheduled to play a match at the Amsterdam ArenA in the following days. Due to the deterioration of the pitch, these teams' attendances were reduced. The pitch was due for a complete replacement, which was scheduled for the spring of 2025. The pitch is constructed with a full Permavoid water and air management system, giving the sports park's managers every opportunity to bring and maintain the pitch in optimal condition.

In addition to this system, the soil is enriched with a rock wool additive to strengthen the top layer, and heat is extracted from the stored water to generate energy for the clubhouse and management office. Together, these make it one of the most sustainable natural grass fields in the Netherlands.
